Fight the Golder Ranch takeover attempt!

Catalina Foothills Citizens for Fire Safety wants to keep you informed about Golder Ranch Fire District’s repeated attempts to take over emergency and fire safety service in our area. After failing on its first attempt, the distant Fire District is now embarking on a second attempt. Our more than 1,000 parcel owners and homeowners and five homeowner associations believe this latest annexation attempt is unneeded and unwanted. We urge you to support keeping Rural/Metro Fire Department as our fire department and to reject any petition circulated on behalf of the Golder Ranch annexation attempt. Remember, if you sign the petition, that is YOUR VOTE for annexation. There is NO separate vote. If you want to keep Rural/Metro, DO NOT SIGN THE PETITION.

Here’s why we think you should stay with Rural/Metro:_

_COST
Golder Ranch would be paid through property taxes. This would mean increased costs for many in the area, and more increases if you think your home value will rise in the future.

CHOICE
Rural/Metro gives you options, such as discounts with monitored security alarms, sprinklers and a low-cost option for vacant parcels.

SERVICE
Rural/Metro is a top-rated fire department. There is no need to change.

COMMUNITY
Rural/Metro has been serving our neighborhoods for more than 40 years and has a station in the heart of our Foothills area.

Let Golder Ranch know how you feel!

_ Write and/or call the Golder Ranch board and explain to them why you oppose this annexation:
